A crochet doll base pattern is the foundation upon which you can create a delightful crochet doll. With its detailed instructions for the head, body, limbs, and guidance on facial features, you can bring your doll to life stitch by stitch. This pattern serves as a starting point, allowing you to unleash your creativity and customize your doll to reflect your personal style and imagination.
In this pattern, I opted for the no se doll since I am not a big fan of sewing parts in. It always comes out lopsided no matter how I put it and count to make it even.
One problem I always encountered as a beginner in crocheting dolls was the neck. I know putting wires in is a solution but I never felt comfortable using it especially if the dolls are made for kids. So I came up with extending the neck further and starting the head just below. This way the neck has some structure built in and the head has a place holder so to speak.
This pattern size is based on what yarn or hook you used. For my fellow filipinos I used the Indophil yarn, if I'm not mistaken it is categorized as super fine yarn. With this yarn and a 2.75mm hook, I got a 6.5inches doll.
I hope you make a lot of your creations with my doll base.
