Are you looking for a fast and easy project that sells?? im here to share with you a scrunchie project I love doing.
It's a project you can make quickly with minimal skills so this is perfrct for beginners.
I know this is faily common pattern but I still would like to share one of the way I normally do it.
Choosing the right yarn is crucial, I like the soft chunky ones because it's not harsh on the hair and it build very easily. Thinner yarn works as well but you need to crochet more rounds to achieve the bulk. While with chunky yarns jutlst a few stitches and you get a big enough scrunchie out of it.
In this tutorial I used a chunky velvet yarn. You may purchase it on the link beloe (for my fellow pinoys)
FOR THE HOOK I used 5mm hook. You may adjust if you want it a little loose.
I only used sc and dc in this.
And for the elastic, this kind is my favorite to use, aside from having a lot of colors, it's also very elastic. Plus points as well that it's not very expensive.
PATTERN:
loop the yarn inside the elastic
Carry your tail with you so you don't need to weave it in later.
After looping, do about 30 to 40 sc.
At some point you will need to move the sc to fit all the remaining ones, this creates a scrunch hence srunchie...
At the end sl st.
Then chain 2 for the next round
Make 2 dc in every sc.
And here you are fast as flash. A very simple yet elegant pattern. You can tell how using a velvet yarn increases the design of it.
