This is a quick project when you need a little break from another project.
Sc-single crochet
Dc - double crochet
Hdc- half double crochet
ch - chain
hdctog - hdc together
Hook - 4mm
Yarn - Milk cotton yarn
R1- magic circle, ch3, 2dc, (ch2,3dc)3x ch2, sl st
R2- Ch3, dc in next 3, (2dc,ch2,2dc) corners, until last dc, sl st
R3- ch2, join red, 5hdc in the next change to cream, hdc 3 (2hdc,ch2,2hdc on corners) hdc3 whith white, 5hdc with red, hdc 3 with white (corner) repeat around then make 2dc, ch2, 1dc in last corner
fasten both color
R4 - join yarn in any corner by doing a standing hdc, (1hdc, ch2,2hdc) skip 1, hdc in next 4, attach green yarn, hdc5together, hdc in next 4 then do the corner (2hdc,ch2,2hdc), repeat around, sl st. to close.
R5- ch3, dc in next (2dc,ch2,2dc) corners, dc in next 6, then dc on top of the berry, dc 8 with white until corner (2dc,ch2,2dc). repeat around then sl st. to close
R6- join any corner with standing hdc, (hdc,ch2,2hdc), skip1, hdc in 3, change to red,5 hdc in next, 8hdc with white yarn in next, 5hdc with red yarn, hdc in the next 3 with white (2hdc,ch2,2hdc) on corners. Repeat around then end with sl st.
R7- ch2, skip the next hdc (2hdc,ch2,2hdc on corner) skip 1, hdc 4, change to green, hdc 5 together (creates the stem of the strawberry) change to white then 8 hdc, change to green hdc5tog, hdc 4, then do the (2hdc,ch2,2hdc on corners). repeat around then sl st.
fasten off green
R8- ch3, dc in the next 2 (2dc, ch2,2dc on corners) dc 6, 1 dc on top of the berry, dc 8, dc 6 then do the corner
R9 - ch2, hdc 4 (hdc, ch2, hdc), then hdc around to frame the whole granny square. make 2hdc, ch2, 2hdc on corners
R10, repeat R9 but using green yarn
R11, repeat R10 except using red yarn and using sc instead of hdc
Next would be the sides of the bag
R12- hdc on back loop only, (to make it sturdy, pick up the other loop in the back) do this on 3 sides. making sure to do 3 hdc on corners
Make another panel then we will now join the 2.

Do not fasten off yet, we will now make the straps. I did mine thin but you can add it you want it thicker. I chained 170 chains (make it shorter or longer however you prefer). connect this to the other side. Sc on the next 2 on the side then chain 170 again for the other strap. Connect it on the other side. Sc on the next 2. sl st.
There you go, a very cute and versatile strawberry bag. I usually use mine to carry my kindle, the yarn is so soft it protects it from scratches.
